Description
Members of No 4 (Tactical Reconnaissance) Squadron of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) arranged comforts given by American Units of the Gusap area, Ramu Valley, for air drop to men of the 7th Division over the Christmas period 1943. A total of 67 containers, each containing 200 lbs of supplies, were delivered. Pictured here attaching a parachute to a supply container is 416778 Flying Officer Ronald Norman Nancarrow and Leading Airaftman C. Maybury.
