Description
The interior of the Recreation Hut built by the 2/101st General Transport Company in their camp area at Port Moresby. The hut was equipped by the Australian Comforts Fund. Known personnel, seated nearest and facing the camera from the right, are: QX19400 Private (Pte) Walter Alfred Wilson; VX76666 Pte Gordon Hughan; NX54601 Pte Herbert Edgar Jackson; NX25356 Corporal Leslie Robert Howard; VX90208 Pte Laurence Alfred Eaton; NX25029 Pte Hugh Brown. Standing at right of picture are Major Scott, Deputy Commissioner Australian Comforts Fund, on left and NX489 Major Cecil Robert Roddam, Commanding Officer of the Company.
