The tip of the”Pimple” on Shaggy Ridge, New Guinea. The Command Post of “A” Company, 2/19th Infantry Battalion is on the left. QX6030 Major Frederick Ewen Cameron Loxton (at left), “A” Company Commander, standing, and NX97235 Private John Clement Leo Maher, in the foreground, in one of the many weapon pits in the area. The ridge drops away sharply on both sides. Major Loxton was killed in action in New Guinea on 21 January 1944
