Seamans blue peaked field cap : Imperial Japanese Navy
Description
Japanese seaman's soft peaked field cap in dark blue cotton drill. There are three ventilation eyelets on either side of the crown. There is a row of top stitching around the lower edge of the cap and three rows of top stitching around the edge of the peak to stiffen it. A gold wool embroidered anchor badge is attached to the centre front of the cap. The inside of the cap is lined with blue pin striped cotton and there is a thicker cotton band around inside edge.
