SYDNEY, NSW. PORT SIDE VIEW OF THE CORVETTE HMAS BROOME (J191) MOORED OFF GARDEN ISLAND. THE SHIP IS ARMED WITH A 12 POUNDER AA GUN FORWARD AND 20 MM OERLIKON AA WEAPONS IN THE BRIDGE WINGS AND AFT. TYPE 271 SURFACE SEARCH RADAR IS MOUNTED ABOVE THE BRIDGE AND AN AMERICAN SC-1 AIR SEARCH AERIAL IS FITTED ABOVE THE FOREMAST. NOTE THE MINESWEEPING DAVITS AND KITES ON THE STERN.
