Description
While taking a break from patrolling along the Sarawak-Kalimantan border area in North Borneo, 16364 Private (Pte) Thomas Clarence (Tom) Moores (left), of Rockhampton, Qld, 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), hands out his chocholate ration to some local Dyak children. Pte Moores is armed with an L1A1 self loading rifle (SLR), and he is carrying an Alice frame pack. Later, in 1967, Pte Moores served in South Vietnam with the 1st Australian Reinforcement Unit, 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (6RAR) and 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR).
