Black and gold woven emblem of 1 Polskiej Diwizji Pancernej (1 Polish Armoured Division). The emblem is of a winged helmet on a black edged gold circle, stitched on a khaki wool backing.
History / Summary
Collected by Polish serviceman Lieutenant Nicholas Nikon 3 Dywizia Strelcow Karpackich (3 DSK). The 1 Polskiej Dywizji Pancernej (1 Polish Armoured Division) was raised under the command of Major General Stanislaw Maczek in Scotland in 1942. It fought in France and Germany during the liberation of Europe 1944-45.
