Dunleavy, Hilda Martha Elizabeth (Squadron Commander), 1904-2000, CSM
Description
Certificates relating to the service of Squadron Commander Hilda Dunleavy. She joined the Women's Air Training Corps in 1940 and was a Squadron Commander in the Ambulance Squadron until its disbandment in 1946. She was also a member of the Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) from 1940-1945 and served at Sydney Hospital and, 113 Australian General Hospital. The certificates document courses completed with the National Emergency Services, the Australian Red Cross Society and a certificate of appreciation from the United States Military Command, 1972, for her voluntary work with the R & R Hospitality Service for American soldiers on leave in Australia during the Vietnam War.
