Bundalaguah, Victoria. March 1916. The reception committee of ladies that provided refreshments after the First Maffra Platoon marched to Sale. The second, third and fouth soldiers from the left are Sergeant A.D. Hollyhoke, Lieutenant Roberts and Sergeant Cory. The First Platoon and Second Platoon were raised at Maffra in early 1916 when it was the policy of the Defence Department to raise and train troops locally to encourage recruitment.
