Sweetheart's pendant : Bertha Smith, British Red Cross Society

Sweetheart's rolled gold pendant which has a photograph in each side. The photograph on the obverse is of a nurse, Bertha Smith and the photograph on the reverse is of her husband Private Smith. The pendant is stamped 'ROLLED GOLD' on the reverse.

Sweetheart pendant containing a photograph of Nurse Bertha Smith (nee Newcombe) who served as a nurse with the British Red Cross and a photograph of her husband Private Smith an Australian soldier. Nurse Smith was recognised by the Joint Committee of the British Red Cross Society and the Order of St John Jerusalem in England for her valuable services rendered during the War.
