Description
Upturned barrels of aviation fuel, possibly 110/130 mix AVGAS, lie in a muddy patch of the Kimpo airstrip apron area. Three USAF Douglas A-26C Invaders are parked in front of a battle-damaged building complex. The South Korean capital city, Seoul, was contested and briefly occupied by the North Koreans twice during the war until it was held permanently by the United Nations Command forces in March 1951.
