Description
A Bell Iroquois UH-1H helicopter gunship of 9 Squadron RAAF. It is parked on steel reinforcing plates laid on an uneven surface. The full configuration of firepower can be seen through the different systems mounted on the aircraft. The available armament includes a seven pod launcher (either side) for 2.75 inch rockets, a 7.62 mm M-134 (GAU-2B/A) minigun (both sides) and a twin mounting of 7.62 mm M-60 machine guns fitted to either door-side. This powerful array of weapons demonstrated the utility of this gunship in its offensive roles.
