A crowd gathers around the first single engined aircraft, a DH9, to be flown from England to Australia by Lieutenant (Lieut) Raymond John R Parer and Lieut John C McIntosh, the men left England on 8 January 1920 and arrived in Darwin on 2 August 1920.
