Sea of Japan. 6 August 1945. Sick Berth Attendant William Lambeth of Melbourne, Vic, using a microscope and the specimen kidney bowl, joined the RAN at the outbreak of war, and has since served in the following actions: Atlantic patrol in HMS Moreton Bay, then the Blitz on England, North Africa campaign in HMAS Quiberon, the Burma campaign in HMAS Napier, Sakashima assaults in Napier, at present assaults on Japan in Napier. Note the Carley float.
