Description
Informal portrait of 325 Private (Pte) Aubrey George Farmer, 3rd Battalion. Pte Farmer was killed in action on 29 April 1915, and was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal on 25 April 1915 for "showing great courage" in organising a party of three men to take the severely wounded Captain Wilson to the rear, necessitating his standing exposed on the parapet and himself being wounded.
