Members of the 2/19th Battalion gathered around a local pattern Bren Gun Carrier (S3223) which has become bogged in a ditch on the side of the road. Another similar Carrier (S3220) is visible on the road in the background. Note that the two men in the foreground have 18 inch bayonets strapped to their belts.
