Colonel Gardner speaks of: his military career and preparing 4th Field Regiment for service in South Vietnam 1967 - 1968 as commanding officer; Operation Pinnaroo 27 February to 8 April 1967, a 1 ATF operation against VC forces in the Long Hai hills in the south of Phuoc Tuy province, in particular the employment of 4th Field Regiment and other artillery (US army, US navy ship etc) allotted; 4th Field Regiment's other significant operations in South Vietnam: Operation Petersham, Operation Paddington and Operation Coburg; the personalities and styles of command of two commanders of 1st Australian Task Force, Brigadier Graham followed by Brigadier Hughes.
