Baria, South Vietnam. June 1971. The Director of the Army Nursing Service, Colonel P. M. McCarthy of Canberra, ACT (centre), spent six days in South Vietnam on a tour which included visits to Australian, American and Vietnamese hospitals. During her visit to the Baria Hospital in Phuoc Tuy Province, she was shown operating equipment by a Vietnamese nurse (left) and a medical student.
