The Commanding Officer of No 9 Squadron, RAAF, 35030 Squadron Leader (Sqn Ldr) Peter John Reed, briefs his crews before an assault by men of the 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), in RAAF and United States (US) Army helicopters during a recent operation in Phuoc Tuy Province. The squadron, based at Vung Tau, 35 miles south east of Saigon, supports the operations of the 1 st Australian Task Force (1ATF).
