Description

NSW. c. 1910. The S.S. Kanowna, a passanger vessel that coasted Australia, steaming on Sydney Harbour. Probably part of the Australian Union of shipping and Navigation Company. Bean's note on reverse of photograph reads "An Australian coaster of 7000 tons which never leaves the Australian coast, the S.S. Kanowna". The city of Sydney can be seen in the background.
