An informal portrait of 3914 Sergeant (Sgt) L H Andrew, a member of the Provost Combined Rugby League Team, prior to a match. The team went on to become the British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF) premiers in April 1950. Sgt Andrew was a member of the BCOF Provost Unit in Japan, and later served in the Korean War.
