Informal portrait of unidentified boy scouts of the 1st Allied Troop and two older female family members being assisted ashore by a Japanese boatman. Their troop was formed from the sons of Australian and Commonwealth members of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF) living in Japan and the boys were taking part in adventure training in the countryside.
