RAN Helicopter Flight Vietnam (RANHFV) is attached to the US Army 135th Assault Helicopter Company (AHC), at the Bearcat Base in Bien Hoa Province, South Vietnam. Here three RANHFV servicemen take a break from work to read their mail. Left to right: R66318 Naval Airman Mechanic Airframes and Engines (NAMAE) Alan David Davidson, of Newcastle, NSW; R65386 NAMAE Bernard Paul (Bernie) Fisher, of Faifield, NSW; and R65069 NAMAE Jose Maria (Joe) Da Silva, of Belmont, Qld. The joint American-Australian unit is the only one of its kind in the US Army.
