The RAN Daring class destroyer HMAS Vendetta (II) is on its first and only deployment to the Vietnam War. The Vendetta, attached to the US Seventh Fleet, is providing naval gunfire support on the gunline, off the coast of South Vietnam. The crew are participating in Christmas activities on board ship. R65223 Radio Operator Special (ROS) Terence Paul Helion, of Brisbane, Qld, is celebrating not only Christmas Day on the gunline, but also his 21st birthday.Here he is enjoying a can or Resch's Pilsner with other crew members.
