Description

In true naval tradition, officers on board the RAN guided missile destroyer HMAS Perth (II) D38, serve dinner to sailors while the ship is anchored in Vung Tau Harbour on Christmas Day. Supply Sub Lieutenant John Naughton and Lieutenant Commander Brian Geoffrey Gibbs serve the meal. While the Perth is in Vung Tau Harbour, the captain has allowed several members of RAN and Australian Army units serving in Vietnam to board and share Christmas dinner with friends and family members.
