Description
Paybook, medical casualty movement forms and two photographs relating to the service of 4419 Quartermaster Sergeant Kenneth James Gillies 17 Battalion AIF and specifically to the way in which a medical casualty was officially processed. The medical forms include a Medical Transfer Certificate (Army Book 172) issued 22 May 1916, a Patients Pass issued 24 May 1916, a Field Medical card (Army Form W3118) issued 29 October 1916 and a tag (Army Form w3083) issued 6 November 1916. The papers also include a letter to Mrs. E.S. Gillies from the Department of Defence 1 May 1917 notifying her of her son's expected arrival in Australia.
