NSW. Paybook photograph of NX13466 Private Albert Edgar Geale, 2/2nd Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Geale, aged 30, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 1 June 1941. He was the son of William Thompson Geale and Mary Ann Geale, of Temora, NSW. He is buried in the Suda Bay Cemetery Section 5, Row D, Plot 5.
