Warrant Officer Class 1 (WO1) Tex Charles of Taroona, Tas, rides the only two-wheeled Australian Army vehicle in South Vietnam - a 150cc Vespa Super Sprint motor scooter, through the streets of Saigon. At the Headquarters of the Australian Force Vietnam (AFV), where he works, it's almost a necessity. As Clerk of Works (Construction), he does a lot of travelling to liaise with US Army engineers and works projects in the Saigon area.
