Duc My, South Vietnam. August 1971. Two Vietnamese Rangers demonstrate how to use the `slide of death' at the Ranger Training Centre at Duc My, 300 miles north-east of Saigon. The 300 foot wire rope is suspended sixty feet above the ground and is one of numerous training facilities at the centre where two advisers from the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam (AATTV) are based.
