Alert Trooper (Tpr) David Allen, 21, of Toogoolawah, Qld, guards an armoured personnel carrier (APC) during massive exercises in Shoalwater Bay north of Rockhampton, Qld. The 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (6RAR), in its final training prior to their departure and service in South Vietnam had the support of the APCs during the second phase of Exercise Foxhole, aimed at honing 6RAR in its final training. Tpr Allen is from B Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment.
