Nui Dat, South Vietnam. April 1970. Vietnamese honey bear cub, Raechel, clowns around with Corporal Ian Rogers of Daylesford, Vic, a member of Headquarter Company. at the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) base. The bear cub is the new mascot and pet of the soldiers of Headquarter Company. She was adopted by the men after her mother was shot by infantry when she charged through the soldiers' night location, setting off trip flares.
