Description

Baria, South Vietnam. 1969-11. Vietnamese boy scouts give the traditional boy scout salute as their flag is raised outside a new scout hall. The hall was built at a cost of $US1,230 with funds coming from the profits of the other ranks' canteen at Headquarter Company, 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) based at Nui Dat. The Australians started the project 1969-05 and worked constantly in their spare time to complete it.
