Metal mannequin head for gas mask testing : Maribyrnong Munitions Works
Description
Silver coloured cast metal mannequin head with small circular mouth hole that is internally connected to a 7 mm diameter copper nozzle which protrudes 50 mm from the base of the back of the cranium above the neck. The short neck is flanged to form a flat circular bench mounting with a bolt hole at the front and the back. This flange has remnant green paint.
History / Summary
Possibly made by the Maribyrnong Munitions Works, Victoria, and used by the works to test the effectiveness of respirator gas masks.
