Baria, South Vietnam. 1969-07. Corporal Kevyn Joy of Mildura, Vic, is watched by a young South Vietnamese Boy Scout as he lays a brick at the partly built Scout's hall at the Phuoc Tuy Province capital. Each Sunday, volunteers from the 1st Australian Task Force Headquarter Company Other Rank's Mess go to work on construction of the hall with materials purchased from mess funds. Previously the Scout pack met in a variety of places, the last one being the local high school.
