Ap Suoi Nghe, South Vietnam. 1968-05. Lance Corporal Leslie Darcy of Riverstone, NSW, keeps two Vietnamese girls occupied by pushing them on a swing while their parents wait to receive land grants in the village of Ap Suoi Nghe, two miles north of the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) Base at Nui Dat. The village was established to accommodate 1200 refugees collected over a wide area of Phuoc Tuy Province in a bid to stop Viet Cong infiltration in the area.
