A game of gridiron football being played by two unidentified teams, in teeming rain. Some of the players are Japanese, as is the referee (right) who is wearing a vertically striped top, light coloured knee-length pants and a cap. The field has become very muddy, and many of the spectators are sheltering under umbrellas.
