South Vietnam. 1968-03. A captured Russian (RPD) light machine gun is held by Private James Ward 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR). With him is Private James Fletcher, 22, of Seacliff, SA (left), a member of 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), about to return to Australia after twelve months in Vietnam. Fletcher has also been identified as Private Stephen King of 7RAR.
