El Daba, Western Desert, Egypt. 25 December 1943. Christmas dinner at No. 451 (Spitfire) Squadron RAAF in the airmen's mess. This was the third Christmas overseas for the squadron, and the cooks, under the leadership of Sergeant Tom Wilbraham of Cowra, NSW, provided a meal fit for royalty.
