Sea of Japan, 1950-09-28. Two unidentified members of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), rest on a ledge on the deck of the United States troopship Aiken Victory which is transporting 3RAR from Japan to Pusan and the war in Korea. Behind the men is a stack of life rafts closely tethered with a network of ropes and knots.
