Description

An Iroquois helicopter from a US Army aviation company takes off after inserting members of the 5th Royal Australian Regiment (5RAR) at Luscombe Field. The men were inserted to patrol the defensive fence and minefields that extended from the sea to Dat Do. This defence line was constructed in an effort to break the Viet Cong stronghold in the nearby Long Hai hills.
