Description
Letters written by former members of 2/12 Battalion to assist in the writing of the unit history, `Of storms and rainbows'. Topics include training in Australia, England and Egypt before serving in the Middle East (particularly Tobruk), and training after returning to Australia. Topics also include Battle at Milne Bay and KB Mission, invasion of Goodenough Island, battles at Buna-Sanananda and the Finisterre Ranges (particularly Mount Prothero). Includes poems.
