Identified in the group are 3039 Private John Chalmers, 2668 Private Robert Henry Lindsay, 2926 Private Arthur O'Connell Hill, 3817 Private Louis William Jouning, 1730A Private Henry Banden Daddow, 5210 Private James Heyward Wheeler, 5061 Private William Oswald Collins, 7137 Private Arthur James White, 1704 Private Arthur Symon Nicholls, 4918 Private Arthur Petch, 1675 Private Charles Varcoe, 3424 Private Clarence Jones, 2233 Private Robert Ronald, 3003 Private Frederick Charles Jones, Bugler 2734 Private George Winter (?), 3700 Private Alexander Dalgleish Burden, 1712 Private William George Young, 3114 Lance Corporal Alexander Thursday Bain (front row, far right), 4477 William Crossan, 2155 Henry Watson Campbell, 2009 Private Horace Finn Thurston, 1978A Private John Price and 4626 Private Percy Austin Steele. The officers in the centre are Lieutenant Colonel Loutit and Captain Reid. Twelve of the musicians were originally with the 47th Battalion.
