Description
Korea, c. 1950-10. Medics with a unit of US Army engineers give first aid to a colleague who was wounded by North Korean forces while engaged in clearing enemy mines. The man, who is wincing in pain, seems to have been wounded in the leg. At least three of the soldiers gathered around the injured man are black American troops. The soldier partly obscured at left is holding an Owen submachine gun and thus is probably a member of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR). (Donor I. Robertson)
