Informal portrait of 193 Signaller James Pinkerton Campbell, 8th Australian Light Horse Regiment, nursing his injured knee aboard the Allied transport ship Canada. Wounded at Gallipoli, Campbell recovered and remained in the Middle East. A professional photographer before the war, he was later made an honorary lieutenant and appointed an official photographer with the Australian War Records Section (AWRS) in Egypt.(Donor JP Campbell)
