left image: We have a rice thief in the gaol; right image: Mind if I take a cigarette paper mate?
Description
left image: Rice is being funnelled out of a room through a pipe to a bag outside, however the process has been spotted by two other prisoners of war. right image: Five prisoners of war are sitting having a cigarette and one is reading a newspaper. One of the POWs is leaning across and taking a section of the newspaper, hence the joke of the title, 'mind if I take a cigarette paper mate?'
