Bathurst, NSW. 1970-08-15. Brigadier Sir Frederick Gallagher "Blackjack" Galleghan, DSO OBE ISO ED, leading veterans of the 8th Division at the reunion held to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of the formation of the Division and the 25th anniversary of the end of World War 2. During this reunion Brigadier Galleghan unveiled the 8th Division Memorial, erected by the Division at Bathurst.
