Fears and memories; 'choppers'
Description
A bare chested man is surrounded by five helicopters. He has a rugged appearance, with row of 'stars' around his head, indicating his dazed state of mind. His expression is not so much of fear for the helicopters and potential attack, but rather one of a battle-weary and drained soldier. Below are tropical trees, characteristic in Moore's depictions of the Vietnam experience. The 'memories' within the title suggests Moore is commenting on the trauma faced by Vietnam Veterans on return from their war experience.
