Informal outdoors portrait of Flying Officer (FO) Philip Adrian Goldsmith DFC DFM, of Artarmon, NSW, a distinguished pilot of No. 452 (Spitfire) Squadron RAAF. During his service on Malta FO Goldsmith was credited with the destruction of twelve enemy aircraft and a half share in another.
