105 mm Howitzer M60 Smoke Projectile
Description
A 105 mm M60 smoke projectile for use in 105 mm howitzers (such as the M101, and Light Gun, used in Australian army service). The projectile is 400 mm long and has a diameter of 105 mm with a 48 mm diameter threaded nose fuse insertion hole - no fuze inserted. (The overall length with a nose fuze would be 789 mm). The outside of the projectile is painted light grey with a 15 mm wide yellow band around the body 190 mm from the front nose fuze hole. There is a 20 mm copper driving band located 80 mm above the base.
