Description
Manuscript compiled by Peter James-Martin in 1993 titled 'RAAF Years 1941-1945: A personal recall', containing two separate memoirs of 416355 Warrant Officer (WO) Howard John Martin (also known as Howard James-Martin) and 416738 WO Alexander Raymond (Alec) Boxall. The manuscript was compiled from oral interviews conducted with Martin and Boxall, and comprise 47 and 37 pages respectively. The manuscript covers enlistment and pilot and navigator training at various bases in Australia, and active service against the Japanese Flying Vultee Vengeance Dive Bombers and later Kittyhawks, and includes a summary of each man's service and a chronology of their postings.
